Punctuality Timelines

What to Work On From Home

  • Establish the skills the student is independent with regarding time – are they able to tell time with either a digital or analog clock.
  • Using a visual picture/photographs schedule determine the students knowledge around clocks and time.
  • Ensure the student has an alarm clock/system so they can use it for becoming independent for their schedule of waking up.
  • Talk about time at home. Everyone has a schedule and having those conversations will help the student to understand their schedule in one of several in the home.
  • Have a digital or paper calendar for events that the student can see. Have the student add items as they are able – birthday, holidays, school special events.

  • alarm clock/system so they can use it for becoming independent for their schedule of waking up.
  • For all the tasks the student is completing refer to them in time – that took us 20 minutes, let’s look at the clock to see what time it is now.
  • Have conversations about time and schedules in the school.
  • Have the student keep a digital or physical calendar at school (following the lead of the home as to type of calendar they use)
